"Remembering Atlantis - a Dream of Freedom" tells of the journey into the Atlantean past, during which the protagonist suffers from fear, despair and pain. These are also felt by her readers. But the book ends on a positive note: the freedom we dream of, we can also live.

Short report by the author:
In 2009, I stood between the paws of the Sphinx. When I touched it, fear and despair flooded me. I was transported back in time and painfully learned that Atlantis was sinking because the desire for power and the lust for domination of individuals had gotten out of hand.
The power games are very much present again - human rights are being trampled underfoot before all our eyes. Fear and insecurity, abuse and the feeling of not being able to cope with the challenges of life characterise our everyday life, both for my patients and for myself. It is now time to leave the old pain behind, to feel freedom and to live it.

My journey to Egypt

For years I had the desire to travel to Egypt - again and again I dreamed of it. In 2009 I stood between the paws of the Sphinx and when I touched her, intense feelings flooded me - what had happened?

I was back in Atlantis. This fabled land perished because the striving of individuals for power and the domination of others took over - a pain that many of us still feel.

Atlantis today

Power games are present again - efforts to introduce dictatorships and to trample human rights underfoot meet us every day.

The roots of many topics reach back into times long past. Fears and insecurities, the feeling of not being up to the challenges of life, abuse on many levels shape the daily life of my patients as well as of myself.

For me, memories are an opportunity to get out of these old themes, to finally leave them completely behind and to live what I came into the world for - painting, making music, writing, dancing - to feel and live my freedom.

From the blurb:

For insiders: The terms reincarnation, rebirth and primordial female power are part of your world view, just as you understand behind the term "Atlantis" not only the "dreamed-up myth-encircled time from Plato's works"? Then you can search this unique book of one of your kindred spirits for new insights, read it as a report of a wise old soul or as a memory of a common "Atlantian" past.

For everyone else: You can comfortably read the book *despite* all the terms that have had no place in your everyday life so far - either as a historical novel or as an autobiography "across several lives". Read it as the story of a person who is trying to come to terms with the trauma of his war-wounded father as well as his own. Read it as the life story of a young woman who, despite fear and pain, sets out to lead a self-determined life and practices her vocation as a doctor and holistic physician unflinchingly for decades for the recovery of many people. She has not only dreamed of her freedom, she lives it in an exemplary way.
